Hi, I’m Ella Maddalena. I’m an Artist and Cermacist:)
I’m an Artist, Ceramicist & Tattoo Artist Based in London. I grew up in France and moved over to England with my with my family when I was 15 years old.
I always loved painting and crafting. I knew I wanted to work in art. My drawings and paintings always made my family so happy, with my mum proudly putting my ‘works of art’ up on the wall.
I’ve explored many different styles over my years as a painter! From bold expressionism all the way to delicate watercolour illustrations. Right now I am focused on softer, more muted paintings, taking inspiration from painters such as Pierre Bonnard, Claude Monet & Alexandre Lenoir.
I love painting figures and quickly decided I no longer wanted them to be completely realistic, rather, just impressions, where you can see what is represented without the need for all the details. Hoping this will allow you to just feel the emotions being bought yo you by the painting & be in the moment.
I also love painting landscapes and more abstract pieces, which is why I’ve decided to incorporate both into my work. Getting the best of both worlds!
My Tattoing career started almost 3 years ago now, I was lucky to have come at a time where the tattoo industry was booming, post covid, everyone was itching to get tattooed after having spent 3 years thinking about everything they would get!
Within only a year of tattoing I had found my style, what made me unique and different and this helped me grow my social media following. I starting this business in my second year of University and by the time I graduated in Summer of 2023 I had been earning enough for over 6 months to be able to comfortably continue this as my full time job. I was very lucky.
Once I had ‘conquered’ this one business my ADHD decided it was time to start something new again. Which for me was painting and ceramics, I hadnt’t painted since my first year of university and was very eager to get back to it!
Since then I have been both selling my artworks, ceramics online as well as through galleries alongside tattooing part- time.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking, crochet, needle felting cycling, yoga & and basically any craft under the sun, I’ve always loved making things with my hands and I’ve been very lucky and gifted that I’m good at it.
here are some photos of me:)
